Its that time of the year again. The second annual Handing Out Hope Gala is just around the corner. It seems like only yesterday we were planning for the Launch Party that took place last November at Sabor Restaurant. Up until that point we were just getting established as a newly operating non-profit. We had just returned from a successful project in the Philippines. Then the time came for us to officially present ourselves to world. It was a labor of love on many levels. It was one of the first times we had a function with our then newly acquainted volunteers and being a part of this new team. Our ambitions were on the verge of being made a reality. And as we paved our organization for what we now know to be the Handing Out Hope we are today, we came before you at our Gala to share with you who we were, what we were about, our goals, and our dreams. Fast forward to the end of the event. Our guest speakers had inspired. Our video had brought tears to our audience. We became a team. Not just with one another, but also with you. Your feedback, encouragement, contributions and support brought us to be where we are today, and we are eternally grateful to be working with you for the better of the world. This year’s Gala promises to be no less inspirational. We are currently working to put together for you an evening of inspiration. We look forward to sharing with you what we have done since our last Gala, what we are currently working on, and what we will accomplish in the next year. It is looking to be another memorable afternoon of smiles, tears, and above all else, an offering of hope for those less fortunate. Mark your calendars for November 15, 2008, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm for the 2nd annual Gala, located at the beautiful Elevate Lounge.
