City Of The Living Dead full movie “Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another’s pain, life is not in vain.” -Hellen Keller
Anthony Yuan is extremely honored to be working with Handing Out Hope! Ever since he was young, his desire for being part of something BIG has led him to many volunteer projects. He graduated high school with over 180 hours of community service and was involved with Circle K of Kiwanis at San Diego State University. He then transferred to California State University, Fullerton where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Since then, he has been an on-going supporter of Save the Children, and has raised over $2,000 for AIDS Project Los Angeles through the AIDS Marathon. He hopes that his involvement in this organization will allow him to continue his journey towards making a positive impact in other people’s lives.

Lia Lara-Tellez
Project Manager Since 2007“In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it.”
Lia’s volunteer experience began early when she helped teach sunday school starting in the 6th grade. Over the years she became involved in just about any event my church had from dances to bake sales to building houses in Mexico. That lead to a brief career in Teen & Young Adult Ministry where she spent my days planning trips, classes, social events and charity work. Volunteering with Handing Out Hope on global projects feels like the culmination of a lifetime of smaller dreams and she feels very fortunate to be doing it with an incredible group of dedicated volunteers.
