Handing Out Hope Wins Big in Primm
Family, friends and supporters of HOH filled a charter bus to Primm, Nevada in the early morning hours of December 14th. Once the sleep wore off it was time for fun! Our president, Frank Rivera, hosted a few rounds of BINGO and a contest to guess what time the bus would finally arrive at Primm. The time flew by and soon we were off the bus and into the buffet where we all had lunch together before venturing off on our own adventures.

Some of the group FELT like they won after hitting the outlet mall for some last minute holiday shopping. Everyone scored big deals and went back to the bus loaded down with bags of goodies.

After a long, exciting day we watched movies and slept on the bus trip home. It was a great trip and we hope to do it again in the future. The big winner of the day was Handing Out Hope- proceeds from the bus tickets will help fund our projects for 2009.

In December of 2008, Handing Out Hope took to the road on fun-filled day trip to Primm, Nevada. Handing Out Hope’s members and supporters spent a fun-filled day of party games, gambling, buffet dining, and outlet shopping, and were back in time to rest for work the next day. The event was such a success, it was agreed it should be done again very soon.

2008 Handing Out Hope Gala
The second annual Handing Out Hope Gala proved to be a huge success, despite some of our supporters having to struggle to attend. As most people know, California was fighting fires all throughout the Southland, which created difficult and strenuous challenges for our guests and attendees. Nonetheless, the evening turned out to be quite successful.

Handing Out Hope has been going strong for almost 2 years now. Our annual Gala is a yearly reminder to those who support our cause of our past years projects and the ones for the upcoming year. This year’s Gala took place at the very chic and stylish Elevate Lounge, which sits atop of a high rise overlooking downtown Los Angeles. The evening was filled with amazing food, a successful silent auction, guest speakers, and guests from all around Southern California who fought heavy traffic to get there.

As President and founder of Handing Out Hope stated, “The night was a relaxed and promising evening. We look forward to possibly having our next year’s Gala at the Elevate Lounge once again.”
Guest Michelle Arencibia had this to say, “I had an amazing night tonight. I attended last years Gala as well, and look forward to all the Gala’s of the years to come.”

Double Bar Dash 2008

Since the Paradise Piano Bar event was such a smash in March, we decided a summertime party was in order for July 2007. This time, along with Paradise Piano Bar, we were also generously supported by the Falcon. The highlight of the evening was the Double Bar Dash game, where participants would participate in a Handing Out Hope related trivia game taking place back and forth between both locations. Paradise Piano Bar 2008
On March 1st, 2008, our friends over at Paradise Piano Bar in Long Beach, CA. hosted a fundraiser to raise funds for Handing Out Hope. Prizes were donated by local vendors, and Paradise donated a portion of their total sales from that night. Their generosity helped raise over $800 dollars for Handing Out Hope’s upcoming projects.
